You are being so mouthy right now, which means I'm not doing my job well enough. [More slowly this time, he slides his palms up Viktor's back, starting at the base of his spine, until he finds a nasty knot to work on. He's careful, like he was with Viktor's leg, but presses his thumbs in firmly]
I have no idea what you mmmm... [Which suggested Viktor knew exactly what he meant, dissolving into a pleased murmur as Jayce pressed against that spot.]
That's what I thought. [He leans down to press a kiss to the nape of Viktor's neck, his smile curving against his partner's pale skin. He might well be addicted to seeing him relaxed like this.]
I think a day off tomorrow is a good idea. My brain needs a full reset before I start staring at equations again.
I can't remember the last time we took a full day off. Hell, I can't remember the last time I took a full day off. Do I have hobbies? I couldn't tell you.
... yeah? [Jayce feels something warm inside his chest at the suggestion, and he stretches out next to Viktor on the bed, pressing idle kisses to freckles as he notices them on his shoulder.]
I'd like that, actually. You think you can keep me focused?
I think I can certainly try. [He reached out to wrap his arms around Jayce, pressing against him like a contented cat in a sunbeam.] Don't tell me you're doubting me.
Of course not. [With a lazy sort of smile, he draws his finger down the bridge of Viktor's nose, ending with an affectionate tap at the end of it.]
If you're wearing that shirt again, though, I might get distracted trying to figure out which constellation your freckles remind me of. Or your collarbone. Or this mark I left on your neck, which I will apologize for but I don't actually regret.
That's dangerous to know. [He skims his thumb over the mark, still looking a little awed that this even happened. Gods, he's so lucky.] If you're not careful, you'll end up with bitemarks any place that's covered by your clothes.
Hm...you consider that dangerous? [He shivered at the touch, a slow and devious smirk crossing Viktor's face as he propped himself up on his arms to lean over Jayce.]
I am not hearing the part where that is a problem.
[And Jayce shifts to let Viktor be over him. Willingly. So willingly, rolling onto his back and smiling up at his partner. Watching the way his hair falls into his face a little when he leans over, and how did he not kiss him every day since the moment they met?]
What if we're working and I'm overcome with the urge to kiss you?
[No, he's distracted again. He reaches up to brush his fingers over Viktor's cheek, looking at him with a dreamy expression.] You're so pretty. Have I told you in the last five minutes how pretty you are? I'm going to pass you notes ten times a day telling you.
Will you? [Tilting his head into Jayce's hand, looking to take every bit of affection he was going to be given.] That's a problem, I may have to limit you to five.
Hmm. I'll try, but no promises. [He tries to look thoughtful, but that smile keeps breaking through as he settles his hand against Viktor's cheek, stroking his thumb against his cheekbone.] Will I be in big trouble if I send you six?
Horrible trouble, of course. [It was hard to sound convincing about that with his eyee fluttering closed like a contented cat.] We can not lose a step in our dedication to our work, Jayce.
You're right, we shouldn't let ourselves get distracted. Five it is.
You have the longest lashes. I'll have to keep that in mind for the next time I draw you. [He strokes his thumb over the curve of Viktor's eyebrow, watching him like he's trying to commit every molecule of him to memory.]
Oh. Honestly I thought you'd noticed by now but -- yes? [He laughs, a little self conscious now that he's revealed what he thought was a known secret. But Viktor seems to like the way he's being pet, so Jayce continues stroking his face as he talks.]
I draw you, when I'm stuck on an idea. Something about trying to get the shading right on your nose or cheekbones helps me refocus.
[Oh. Jayce's face softens at the kiss, his smile shifting to something a little bit mystified but undoubtedly pleased.] Would you let me draw you, some time? I mean -- I do anyway, but maybe sit for me.
Sorry. [He shakes his head a little with a nervous laugh, suddenly self conscious of his odd request] That's weird, you don't have to say yes.

[Well, if he kept this up, Jayce could have whatever weird hobby he wanted.]
