[Jayce takes that hand, happily, and presses a kiss to each of Viktor's fingertips, ending with a lingering kiss to his palm and holding his gaze the whole time. It does bother him that Viktor doesn't want to risk anyone knowing about the nature of their relationship. There are others in Piltover, and he suspects in Zaun as well, who are more open about such things.

But he's not ready, he's nervous, and Jayce won't push it for now.]

I think anyone who's seen us together knows I'm your partner. That I belong to you. They just don't know how deep that goes.

[Their work took precedence to Viktor in all things--within reason. Jeopardizing that with the kind of rumors that would run wild through Piltover over such a relationship was unthinkable. Besides that--Viktor didn't have a notable reputation to damage, but Jayce certainly did. A scientific collaboration was one thing, but a romantic entanglement with a Zaunite would discredit him faster than one could say 'trencher'.]

[...So admittedly, he envied Jayce's perspective where things were so much more straightforward, and elected not to argue with it by pointing out Viktor all but lived in his shadow. That was fine, and he didn't honestly mind the lack of publicity. All that mattered was right in front of him, thin fingers curling around Jayce's hand in a light and gentle squeeze.]

You belong to me, hm? A little dramatic, don't you think?

[It's good, then, that Viktor is there to hold him steady. To be that voice of reason. Because he would without question or second thought throw it all away if it meant he and Viktor were together, in the end.

He keeps their fingers twined and their hands joined as he steps between Viktor's legs again, pressing a tender kiss to the beauty mark at the corner of his mouth. The neediness has dissipated a little in the moments he was locking the door, but the heat still lingers.]

Maybe. Probably. But I do. Every part of me, mind and body, is yours. If you want it.

Of course I do, Jayce. I want everything you are willing to give me.

[And he'd treat all of it like the priceless gift his partner was, other arm draped loosely over Jayce's shoulders as he answered with a slow, gentle kiss of his own.]

I may not have much in turn, but all of it was only ever yours.

I thought I'd made it fairly clear how much I love your body. All of it. [And he hopes the way he sets his hand against Viktor's waist, where he knows the back brace sits, helps to underline his point.

Every piece of Viktor is a treasure, and he will treat it as such.] But I'll keep worshiping you until you finally start to believe me.

[What little confidence he'd had throughout all of this flaked away like the thin mask it was, Viktor pulling him closer to hide his face against his partner's neck.]

...very well. Present an argument, then.

[Tenderly, Jayce cradles the back of Viktor's head, allowing him to take shelter against his neck. If Viktor needs to hide right now, that's okay. Jayce can accommodate that.

Slowly, he strokes his fingers through Viktor's hair, pressing a few soft kisses to the top of his head and giving their joined hands a squeeze.] Well. Unfortunately, I can't really make my argument here, in the lab. Even with the door locked, it might be a bit risky.

But I could tell you what it might be, if I were able to do it.

Your plans are as ambitious as that? Perhaps I should expect no less.

[Viktor hummed softly in contentment, a thin smile coming to his face.]

Very well. As your partner, I will hear what you have in mind to prove your point.

Well, you know me. I always shoot for the stars. But I say that because the first thing I would want to do is to help you out of your braces, and put my mouth on every mark and line they leave behind. Soothe those places with my hands, if you'll let me.

Because I love all those places, too. [A statement that he punctuates with a kiss to the side of Viktor's face.] I find all those places worthy of worship, whether you do or not.

You...you do not have to, you know. I mean--there is no expectation to make me feel better about what must be an unpleasant sight.

[Which was about as far as he argued, squeezing Jayce's hand gently.]

...But I would...not object to that.

I know I don't have to. But I want to. Not because I'm trying to make you feel better, but because I enjoy it.

[Another kiss, softly reassuring to his temple.] It's not unpleasant. Not to me. I wear gloves with tight fastenings when I'm working in the Forge, and sometimes they leave marks on my arms. To me, it looks the same. And it's just as kissable as the rest of you.

Flatterer. [A softly huffed out shadow of a laugh, followed by a light brush of a kiss to Jayce's neck.]

...It does tend to ache, after wearing them all day. Just a little help would not be the worst thing, I think.

Then I'm happy to do that. [He turns his head to catch Viktor's mouth, the kiss so light it's almost chaste.]

My other plan would be to use the map I made of your freckles and carefully revisit each and every one, head to toe. As slowly as either of us could stand it.

If I did not have an accurate grasp of your patience--or lack thereof--I would be tempted to consider that a form of torture.

I lasted two whole days longer than you thought I would, need I remind you? [Though to Viktor's point, the hand at his waist is tugging at the hem of his shirt in order to slip his fingers underneath and tease over the bare skin where the gap in his brace is.]

Yes, though you still fell quite short of the initial--

[Semantics cut off in a quiet gasp, Viktor immediately leaning into the touch of warm hands against cool skin.]

The initial what? What were you about to say? [Now it's his turn to smirk, as he strokes his fingertips back and forth against Viktor's side. Maybe he did fold under the onslaught of Viktor's exposed neck and wrists, but two can play at that game.]

...you are impatient and terrible, I hope you know that.

[Practically humming as much against his throat in a way that sounded remarkably like praise, Viktor tried and failed to repress a small smile.]

And if I told you I got myself off these past few nights, thinking about how amazing it was going to feel to be able to touch you again? [His smirk widens a little, flashing a hint of one of his pointed canines.]

Would that also be terrible?

Impatient. [He repeated himself with the smallest nip to Jayce's neck, a teasing bite from sharp and crooked teeth.]

No wonder it took you longer than expected to give up, even with my best efforts. And here I was, wondering if you might not find me as attractive as you always say you do.

[Viktor's side gets a light pinch, and Jayce gives his partner his very best sad eyes.] It was torture without you, are you kidding? It was like being back before we kissed, when I could only look at you all day. Admire you from afar, unable to touch.

Now, now, you should not lie to spare my feelings. You think I'm repulsive, of course.

[Viktor laughed softly against Jayce's ear, tone light and teasing.]

I've missed you, too.

Viktor. [He huffs a sigh and buries his nose against Viktor's neck, inhaling deeply. Exhaling slowly because gods he's missed his scent up close like this. He works his thumb up under the leather of the brace, trying to get more of him.]

I could never. I never have, that hasn't changed in four days.

I am only joking, lásko. You have made no secret of what you actually think of me.

[As usual, he smelled vaguely of overly-sweetened anise and the metal of the lab, stroling a hand through Jayce's hair with the gentle scrape of nails against skin.]

It would be impossible to forget your stance on the matter.

Some day, I'm going to find out what all those little words mean. I'm going to buy a dictionary, and then you'll be in trouble. [But the threat is dampened, as it's muffled against Viktor's neck, and Jayce's words slur a little as he's pet.

He might follow through on that threat, some day. But he also likes, a little, that Viktor can express himself more deeply without fear of Jayce knowing what he says. He likes the mystery of it.]
